MEETING OGBAKO UMU IGBO 20/09/2025
The minutes of the meeting started around 4.10pm on 20th September, held at Sunnyjenny African Shop Brierley Hill, with an opening prayer from Mazi Chibuike Ile. The chairman commenced by welcoming everyone on board and gave room to new attendees to introduce themselves.The motion was moved for adoption of the minutes from Mazi Chibuike and seconded by Mazi Kenny.
INTRODUCTION : Every member present at the meeting reintroduced themselves, afterwhich kolanut was presented and Elder Emmanuel Uchedikpa did justice to it by breaking the kolanut with some words of prayers.
WAY FORWARD OF THE ORGANISATION : The chairman gave a well detailed analysis of his engagements with some bigger recognised igbo communities fora around the Uk, and also explained the need and gain for us to affiliate with them. It was well deliberated and agreed that the move was a welcome development but, we should concentrate more on the growth of the organisation, stating that if we make our organisation bigger and attractive, then we have the strength and capability to affiliate with others.
ISSUE OF FINANCE: The chairman reiterated the importance of finance in any organisation and urged members to pay up their registeration fees and other obligation to the group
A.O.B : The issue of lateness of members was raised and the chairman encouraged members to improve on puntuality. The chairman encouraged members to develop themselves and concentrate more on social networking and human capital development.
Motion for adjournment was moved by Mazi Chibuike and was seconded by Ikenga Nnaemeka, with the closing prayer said by Nonso at 9pm.
